Blue Force 1L

MSE designed for routine laboratory use

Introducing a new generation of centrifuges. The Blue Force 1L is a brand new centrifuge from MSE designed for routine laboratory use with a wide range of accessories available.

The Blue Force 1L is the successor to the hugely popular Mistral 2000, Harrier 15/80 and Harrier Plus centrifuges. All Harrier accessories including rotors, buckets and adaptors are fully compatible with the Blue Force 1L.

The Blue Force 1L centrifuge represents excellent value for money in terms of performance, ease of use, safety and reliability.

Touch Screen Technology

The Blue Force 1L has an easy-to-use resistive touch screen interface which can be used with or without surgical gloves. The full colour touch screen can incorporate pre-loaded video tutorials and an operator’s manual.

Cutting Edge Electronics

The Blue Force 1L uses the latest Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology developed on conjunction with the leading electronics manufacturer OMRON.

Spin More Tubes

Spin up to 48 VacutainerTM tubes per run in a swing out rotor. The Blue Force 1L is capable of spinning a multitude of other containers including Falcon tubes and polypropylene bottles.

Automatic rotor identification system

The Blue Force 1L incorporates an automatic rotor identification system. This important feature ensures that the centrifuge recognises the rotor in use and prevents it from being used beyond its safe maximum speed. As the centrifuge identifies the rotor in use, it can also work out the ‘g’ force at any set speed. This means the centrifuge can convert rpm to ‘g’ and vice versa once in use.

Microprocessor controlled induction drive

The Blue Force 1L utilises an induction motor for maintenance free long life operation. This motor has no carbon brushes so not only is there no need for routine maintenance but there is no build-up of carbon dust inside the centrifuge. This makes it suitable for use in clean environments. Microprocessor control combined with the frequency driven motor ensures accurate operation for run to run reproducibility.

High speed microtube rotor

The use of the induction motor provides another benefit in that higher rotational speeds can be achieved. This allows the Blue Force 1L to have a maximum speed of 15,000 rpm with the 24 place microtube rotor.

Wide range of accessories available

For routine bench top work, the 4 x 200ml swing out rotor and 200ml sealed buckets are available on the Blue Force 1L. These, combined with a wide range of adaptors, can accommodate most manufacturers’ tubes. As well as the swing out rotor, other angle rotors and specialist rotors are available.
